Personal Information. When you register for MiaVia, we may collect:
Account Data: name, email address, date of birth, profile photo, gender, and travel dates/locations.
User Content: messages, group chat posts, and any other information you voluntarily submit.
Non-Personal Information. We automatically gather technical data, including:
Device & Usage Data: device type, operating system, app version, IP address, crash logs, and performance metrics.
Analytics & Cookies: in-app analytics and cookies to understand feature usage and improve the Service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We process your data to:
Operate & Improve the Service: deliver matching and group-finding features, troubleshoot issues, and refine recommendations.
Communicate: send you transactional messages (e.g., account confirmations), updates, and, with your consent, marketing communications.
Safety & Compliance: verify accounts, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
3. Sharing & Disclosure
We may share your information with:
Service Providers: vendors who help us operate the Service (e.g., hosting, analytics).

6. Your Choices
Access & Correction: log into your account to review and update your profile.
Account Deletion: you can delete your MiaVia account in-app or by emailing support@miavia.app; we will remove your personal data within 30 days.
Marketing Opt-Out: unsubscribe via the link in any promotional email or text message.
7. Children’s Privacy
MiaVia is intended for users aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe we have received information from a child under 16, please contact us so we can delete it.
8. International Transfers
Your information may be stored and processed in the United States. By using MiaVia, you consent to transfer of information to the U.S., which may have different data protection laws than your country.
9. California & EU Privacy Rights
California Residents: Under the CCPA, you have the right to request access to, deletion of, and an accounting of disclosures of personal information.
EU Residents: Under the GDPR, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, or object to processing.
